    About these numbers & coverage

    • Listing date is the stored WordPress.org added date, not necessarily the first release anywhere.
    • Downloads include updates and repeat downloads. They are not unique installations or exact install growth.
    • Install buckets are reported floors. Bucket changes are approximate; these boards show no installation estimates or predictions.
    • Missing history is unknown, never zero. Activity views exclude listings younger than seven calendar days and records not observed within seven days.
    • The mirror has uneven coverage. Each result includes its observation time; the stored seven-day metric ends at that crawl, not at this page request.
    • Download baselines may be up to three days older than the seven-day cutoff. Rank movement uses observed rank changes, not a daily installation count.

    Cohorts include their start date through today in UTC. Three and six months mean calendar months, with month-end clamping. Ties are ordered by slug. Coverage exclusions overlap.

    Questions we get a lot.

    Where does the data come from?

    Everything is sourced from the public WordPress.org plugin directory and its search results — the same numbers anyone can see on your plugin page. We record them on a schedule so you get a history instead of a snapshot. Vulnerability records are mirrored from the Wordfence Intelligence feed.

    How often does the data refresh?

    Tracked plugins and their keyword ranks refresh on a daily sync, and alerts are evaluated at the end of that same run. The vulnerability feed refreshes every four hours.

    Do I need to install anything on my site?

    No. WPInsight reads public directory data by slug, so there is nothing to install, no plugin to ship, and no code touching your users' sites.

    What happens when I hit a plan limit?

    Adding beyond your limit is blocked with a message telling you the cap and what you're using. Nothing already tracked is deleted or paused — you just can't add more until you upgrade.

    How does billing work?

    Paid plans are billed once yearly through Stripe Checkout. The listed price is monthly for comparison; the charge is that figure times twelve, minus any discount shown on the pricing page. An invoice is emailed on every purchase.
