Create custom alerts

Alerts notify you the moment something crosses a threshold you care about.

Building a rule

1. On the Alerts page, click New alert.
2. Pick a trigger — critical rank drop, top 10 entry, low-star review, rating drop, milestone approaching, or download anomaly.
3. Set the threshold and severity, then choose a channel (email or Slack).

Rating drop watches the star figure shown on your WordPress.org listing page, not the raw score behind it, so it tells you when the number your users see actually changes. It needs two days of history before it can say anything.

“Alert me critical when EmbedPress drops more than 5 rank positions for youtube embed in 24 hours.”
